Lake Toba is one of the biggest lake in Indonesia with small island in the lake known as Samosir island. This island is almost the same wide as Singapore with long history of Batak etnic called Batak Toba. This ethnic is supposed to have been inhabit this island since 2 or 3 thousand years ago arriving at the same periode with their other Batak partners residing lower land such as Batak Mandailing Batak Karo, and others. Yet the Batak who reside Samosir island has interesting history beside their land is one of the most beautiful natural view in Indonesia which is only comparable with Batur lake on the island of Bali. The crater of Toba is supposed to have been created by 3 sucessive super volcanic explosions creating a wide crater almost 60 kms long and 50 kms width.
